The Crime of Forcible Transfer Continues Despite State of Emergency
In the Ibzeq area, north of Tubas, the IOF demolished a residential barracks of 70m sq and two pumps (to generate electricity and water). The IOF also confiscated solar panels, 8 tents, and 6 pumps, in addition to bricks intended for use in building a mosque, clinic, and council. All demolitions and confiscations were done under the pretext of having built in a military area.
In Deir Ballut, a town in the Salfit governorate, the IOF demolished an agricultural structure and a water cistern. JLAC lodged an objection against the demolition orders (issued according to Military Order 1797) upon receiving them, however the brief 96-hour window provided (according to the military order) had already ended. The objection was refused by the Israeli Civil Administration on March 11th, and the demolition was carried out on Thursday morning (March 26th) while the area was almost under curfew due to the emergency situation. Moreover, the IOF demolished an agriculture structure in Al-Rumaila area in the Al-Zawiyah town.
In the city of Hebron, the IOF demolished a wall between the areas of Wadi Al-Hasen and Wadi Al-Nasara, in preparation for their closure.
While Israeli Authorities have frozen demolitions in Israel, they continue to carry out demolitions in the West Bank; evidence of their discrimination not being hampered by the emergency and humanitarian situation.
