Update on the threat to the Rashaydah Community in Fasayel 

Today, August 7, 2011 at 7am, the Israeli Civil Administration went to Fasayel Wusta and photographed the entire area.  We are concerned that this is an indication of impending demolitions because on June 13th the Israeli Supreme Court issued a final demolition order regarding 20 structures (displacing 9 families) in FasayelWusta and a final decision is expected in November regarding two additional families.  We ask for those organizations focused on advocacy to please direct your efforts to this vulnerable community, as they are left with no legal recourse after issuing the final demolition order. Due consider, what demolition and displacement means to those whom will come to live under the hot sun during the month-long fasting of Ramadan.
